* Scope

The files under this directory are retained utility implementations, not the
current server configuration or an automated installation system. Start with
[[file:../docs/how-to-set-up-a-tilde.md][the installation guide]] and [[file:../docs/community.md][community applications]].

A separate public repo also exists at https://github.com/tildeclub/recently-updated.
Inspect the chosen version; do not infer production deployment from a repo name.

Run indexing as an unprivileged service identity with only intended public-read
access, stage output outside the served tree, validate it, and publish atomically.
Do not run a broad scan of homes as root from a web request.

* Adding an endpoint

Document its input, output schema, account visibility, schedule, data retention,
error behavior, and owner. Escape HTML and serialize JSON with a real serializer.
A local account name or filesystem filename is data, not trusted markup.
Keep private account fields and credentials out of generated public output.
